Privacy Policy

Wowly Studios ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Modrino Technologies, a partnership firm registered in Narketpally, Telangana, India. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use Wowly Studios, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@wowlystudios.com — we answer.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign up (including via Google Sign-In) we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
Brand information you provide. Your business name, logo, products and services, prices, contact details, verified facts, and any do's & don'ts you set — everything needed to organize and create content for your business.
Images you upload. Logos, product photos, and reference images you add to the app.
Content you generate. The images, captions, and hashtags created in the app are stored in your content library until you delete them.
Instagram connection data (optional). If you connect an Instagram professional account, we receive its username, account ID, and a secure access token, plus — for the connected account only — its posts and engagement statistics (such as likes, comments, and reach). We never see your personal messages with friends, your password, or your private browsing.
Wowly assistant chats (optional). If you chat with Wowly, the in-app assistant, your messages and Wowly's replies are stored in your account so the conversation can continue where you left off.
AI connection data (optional). If you connect ChatGPT or another compatible AI service, we store the authorization and permission settings needed to let that service use the Wowly Studios tools you approve. We do not receive or store your password for that AI service.
Usage and device data. Basic technical information (app version, device type, error logs) used to keep the app working and fix problems.

How we use it

To generate branded content for your business in the Wowly Studios app — relevant brand information and images are sent to our AI providers solely to create the images or text you request.
To let an external AI service you connect read or change your Wowly Studios data through approved tools. Only the data needed for the tool you or the AI invoke is returned, and publishing remains a separate, confirmed action.
To post to your Instagram account when you ask us to, and to show you how your posts performed.
To operate your account: credits, content library, team features, and support.
To improve the app and fix failures (e.g., understanding why a generation failed).

What we don't do: we do not sell your personal information, we do not post to your social accounts without your action, and we do not use your private images to train AI models.

Where your data lives

Your account and brand data are stored with Supabase (our database provider). Your images are stored on Amazon Web Services (S3). AI generation requests are processed by OpenAI and Google. Instagram connections use Meta's official APIs. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; data may be stored on servers outside India (for example, in the United States).

This website, specifically

Everything above concerns the app. The website you are reading now collects far less. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages and referring links bring people here. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites.

There are no advertising trackers, no session recording, and no cookies that follow you from one site to another. The one thing this website keeps on your device is a sign-in token, and only on the screen where you authorize another app to use your Wowly Studios account — it holds your session long enough for you to approve or refuse that request. It is not analytics, and the page-view counts are shared with nobody.

External AI connections, specifically

Wowly Studios can act as a tool for compatible AI services, including ChatGPT. After you authorize a connection, the AI service may request the brand, content, calendar, asset, or analytics data needed for the tool you ask it to use, and may create or update records within the permissions you granted. The connected AI service processes that returned data under its own privacy policy. Wowly Studios does not use its own AI models, generation credits, or generation service for these tool calls. You can review permissions, view recent activity, revoke a connection, or re-enable it from the Wowly Studios AI Connections portal. Revocation blocks future access; it does not delete information already processed by the external AI service.

Instagram permissions, specifically

Connecting Instagram is optional and uses Meta's official consent screen, where you approve exactly what the app may do: view the connected professional account's profile and media, publish content you choose to post, and read comments and engagement statistics. You can disconnect at any time — either inside the app (Settings → Instagram → Disconnect) or from Instagram's own settings (Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites). Disconnecting immediately removes our stored access token.

The Wowly assistant, specifically

Wowly is the in-app AI helper you can chat with. Your Wowly messages are processed by OpenAI (our AI provider) to produce each reply, and — only when you ask about your own account or brand — Wowly reads the relevant data (for example your brand profile, brand rules, recent generations, post queue, or account balance) to answer accurately. Chats are stored in your account: you can delete any conversation inside the chat ("Delete this chat"), and deleting your account deletes all Wowly chats with it. Wowly conversations are not used to train AI models.

How long we keep data, and how to delete it

Your content library is kept until you delete items or your account.
Deleting your account deletes your data. In the app, go to Settings → Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, brands, generated content, uploaded images, Instagram connection, and external AI authorizations from our systems.
You can also request deletion by email: write to hello@wowlystudios.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my data", and we will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm.
One thing we keep: to prevent repeated claiming of the one-time free welcome credits, we retain non-reversible codes (cryptographic hashes) derived from your email address and your device's app identifier. These codes cannot be turned back into your email or device identity or used to identify you, and they are used only to check whether an email or device has already received the free credits.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (as above). Indian users have these rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; we extend the same courtesies to users everywhere.

Children

Wowly Studios is a business tool and is not intended for children under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we will update this page and the effective date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
